Saturday Day School - 10th March

Relationships.

This day school which will include a little theory and a lot of acting will be led by Ray Sutton, retired head of drama at John Moores University Liverpool and the actress Rachel Lawrence.

The day will be structured by dividing those taking part into two groups: Group A will join Rachel for an acting workshop with Group B joining Ray Sutton for a directing workshop.

The outline but flexible programme for the day is:

10.00 AM
Registration, coffee; allocation to groups.
10.30 AM
Group workshops.
11.45 AM
Coffee / Tea Break.
12.00 PM
Groups change leaders.
1.00 PM
Lunch.
2.00 PM
Groups will develop and rehearse mini-dramas in sub-groups of 3 or 4.
3.00 PM
Coffee / Tea Break.
3.15 PM
Groups will perform mini-dramas before the whole company.

The day school is considered to be appropriate for the age group of 16+ and some previous experience of reading scripts will be helpful.

The course fee of £27.50 (£25.00 for age 16-18 and currently enrolled full-time students) will include coffee on arrival and lunch.

Applications for tickets should be made to Miss Kyprianou and accompanied by a cheque made payable to the Birmingham and Midland Institute.
