To sing or not to sing....

Do you ever wonder why you avoid singing in public? Conversely, perhaps you are a person who enjoys singing in front of an audience even though you are your own worst critic so give yourself a really hard time afterwards? This group session is for non-singers and experienced ones. Time will be spent reflecting on what motivates or inhibits people to sing and how the voice can be produced in a balanced, non-judgemental way. Sarah will teach participants strategies to help release and enhance their singing voice as well as reducing the power of that critical voice within.

Sarah Wright-Owens is a Singing Voice Specialist at the University Hospital Birmingham where she works with a team of voice professionals to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate performers with voice disorders. She is also a Vocal Coach at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, University of Birmingham in Selly Oak and teaches in private practice. In Oswestry, Shropshire she runs a performing arts venue in a wonderful old welsh congregational chapel with her musician husband, Stephen Owens.
